I qualified to teach in 1999. Before that I had driven lorries for 12 years, and before that I was a bus driver.
I love driving so much that my hobbies also involve driving. I am a member of the Coltness Car Club and The Scottish Land Rover Owners Club, and many weekends are spent driving for fun.
Not many instructors can honestly say they enjoy driving.
I worked with BSM for 10 years, where I became 'Senior Instructor'.
On my own initiative I started providing Trailer Training and trained in BSL to be able to teach deaf students.
I was also involved in Fleet Driver Training, servicing clients such as Coca Cola, Honeywell, Aviva and Norwich Union in partnership with the RAC.
After major restructuring at BSM, I decided the franchise didn’t suit my needs anymore, so I set up on my own on 1st March 2010, and since then have gone from strength to strength.
I am currently a Grade 5 Instructor (highest being a 6).
